I took my...I think it was a rite of passage for me. I took my first 'road trip' my senior year of high school (got my first speeding ticket then, too, if I remember correctly). I went all the way to Boise, Idaho, which is a good eight hour drive. It was quite the key to independence to be able to travel that far away from home without any parental supervision.<BR/><BR/>Also, I am going on one tomorrow, in fact. I'm procrastinating from packing right now, in fact. :0) I'm actually going to go visit two new states that I've never been to before. So that's a pretty good way to celebrate the birthday of the US-and-A, right?<BR/><BR/>Thinking over the past 11 years that I've been driving now, I've probably taken some type of trip out-of-town during vacation time or during the summer break during school time. I didn't really think of it as something I had to do each year or had planned far in advance, it just so happens that this is the time of year when everyone else is going on vacations and traveling.<BR/><BR/>By the way, I'm headed to Kansas and will visit Missouri.
