Cookie addiction

I may have just hit rock bottom.

I just got off the phone with the local Girl Scouts Pelican Council on Southern Avenue... in search of cookies.

That move was the last in a desperate attempt to find some boxes of Do-Si-Dos somewhere in Shreveport-Bossier City.
I've gone past WalMart and some grocery stores where Girl Scouts are known to set up shop, but no luck.
I also have my mother in Alexandria, Va. looking around for me.

My problem was I didn't plan. Yes, I bought boxes when they first went on sale, but not enough.

I'm telling you...the Girl Scouts have got a lucrative business going on. This "only available for a limited time" gimmick creates a high demand for them every year, ensuring that cookie time is always profitable.

Can anyone help? Where can I find some cookies?

oh yeah... But, my love for King Cake was different. It was a cultural experience for me...And, I didn't have folks on the other side of the country looking to send me a cake either.

"Cultural experience" Whatever. Food is food and wanting it excessivly is greedy, no matter how you twist it.
And no, you don't need anyone to send it to you because you live where it's made. But I bet if you move back to Nashville you'll be calling someone here to send you one...Ha!

Talk to my friend Jessica. She was trying to help someone get rid of some cookies. Don't know what kind.

I think I may be able to help you. I'll check with Victoria's troop leader and get back to you. No need to fret.

My problem with Girl Scout Cookies is that they keep reducing the serving size to make the nutritional figures look better.

What's next? Serving Size: 1 cookie?? It's gonna get tougher for the manufacturers to hide that they are adjusting the serving size to make the numbers look better.

Cheez-It. Serving size: 1/4 cracker

Servings per container: 8012
