Which presidential candidate would you drink a beer with?

I was just surfing the net for some news on the Iowa caucuses when I came across a Washington Post column on a cute Web site asking folks which presidential candidate they'd rather sit down and drink a beer with.

Whodoyouwanttohaveabeerwith.com is a hosted by the National Beer Wholesalers Association and, so far, has Barack Obama ahead of the 15 other candidates with 22 percent.

Ron Paul is the next best beer drinking pal with 15 percent.

So, which hopeful would you choose and why?

This entire "blog" (not just this post) is pathetic. There's no thought; you add nothing of value to the public discussion. All you do is throw out these inane questions and the only people who post answers or comments are other Times staffers. The only thing worse than this blog is your dismal and wretched attempts at "journalism."

Perhaps you've forgotten about the "likeability" factor of our presidential candidates? This question digs deeper and reflects on which candidate you would like to get to know better, or laugh with, or debate with. I think this is a clever way of saying...who's human.

I think my first choice would be Hillary. I don't know why exactly but I just can't picture her sitting down to drink a beer with me ... so that's a good enough reason for me. Maybe it's because I think she's the least personable to me and I'd like to see her act like one of us, sitting at the bar, sipping her drink while talking to me about daily life.
Who would you choose, Janelle?
